Preview Of The Movie “I Hate Luv Storys”

Posted: July 15, 2010 in Akki tell about something his own experiences

‘I hate luv storys’ is the maxim Jay lives by. But as an assistant director to Veer, the most famous romantic filmmaker of Indian Film Industry, Jay has little option but to live with larger than life, glossy, cinematic love on an everyday basis. Things only get worse when he is made to work under the new production designer on the film… Simran, with whom he shares the strangest first encounter!

Simran loves luv storys; So much so that even her life has begun to resemble one. With her ideal job and the perfect boyfriend, Raj, she lives a blissful, dreamy life; One that is rudely interrupted by Jay’s cynicism.

The turmoil’s of Jay and Simran’s life, is ironically interweaved with the Luv Story that they are working on…. But will Jay and Simran ever find their own Luv Story – go find it out in a theatre near you on 2nd July???

Music of the movie is the best, I would say. Vishal & Shekhar have maintained their success story this time. The title song and ‘Jab Mila Tu…’ are my favorites.
Imran and Sonam have and could have delivered wonderful acts but ‘a film is a director’s medium’, its failure is all due to Punit. He could not bring out the best from his cast and crew. The locations also do not appeall. The expressions of the actors are dull and flat. Samir Soni does over-acting and is unbearable most of the times. I had gone with many hopes but returned bored from the multiplex.
The story idea is old and simple. Such ideas have been made beautifully earlier. The idea is, ‘A boy who does not believe in love falls in love finally and wins over the girl’. But this time Karan’s efforts did not work. ‘Kurbaan’ was a far better film than this. The camera used is simple to keep the budget low.
Karan Johar, we expect a lot better from you, next time.
